Agustina Salossa is submitting a request for information to the Manokwari District Health Office

West Papuans are starting to make use of the Public Information Disclosure Act. Departing from the desire to know the certainty of the schedule of the Puskesmas and Supporting Health Centers, a group of Pantura District residents represented by Agustina Salossa made a request for information to the Manokwari District Health Office, Wednesday, October 9 2013.

So far, Agustina et al. have found that the Puskesmas service schedule in their district is only two hours per day, from 09.00 to 11.00. Residents feel the lack of service schedules, considering that many residents live far from the Puskesmas. Thus, residents want certainty from the Health Service regarding the actual schedule. The schedule will later be posted on the Puskesmas, and ask the officers to comply with the schedule.

In addition to the schedule issue, residents also asked for information about the Posyandu Program in the Pantura, East Manokwari and West Manokwari districts. The information requested is an official document that regulates the Posyandu Program, confirmation of whether or not there is a training program for Posyandu cadres as well as what materials are trained, the payroll/honorarium system for posyandu cadres, and which Community Health Centers are responsible for the Community Health Centers in the District. Pantura, East Manokwari District, West Manokwari District.

Other information requested was regarding the list of drug distribution to the Community Health Centers and Supporting Health Centers in the Pantura, East Manokwari and West Manokwari Districts.

Residents will continue to monitor requests for information submitted, at least so that the Office concerned can provide an answer before it has passed ten working days since the request for information was submitted.
