PPID of East Java Province Implements SIP Application

The Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID) of the East Java Provincial Government has made innovations in the management and service of public information. With the support of PATTIRO and AIPD, his party has succeeded in installing the Public Information System application for Information Management and Documentation Officials (SIP PPID) on January 27, 2014. In addition to the Provincial PPIDs, SIP PPIDs are also installed in five SKPD PPIDs, namely Bappeda, BPKAD, Bina Marga, Education Office and Health Office.

The SIP PPID application seeks to answer the need for an information and documentation system that manages public information properly and efficiently so that it can be accessed easily and in accordance with the principle of information disclosure, namely that every public information must be able to obtain every public information applicant quickly, on time, at low cost. and simple way. With this application, management and service of information can be done optimally.

The integration of service work processes and information management by PPID is very useful in facilitating the process of collecting, documenting, serving and reporting the results of information services so that they become effective and efficient. At the same time accelerating PPID’s response to requests for information and requests for objections so that the public can obtain public information easily.

The SIP PPID application can also function as an instrument for coordination, guidance and integrated supervision of the Ministry of Home Affairs PPID, Provincial PPID, Regency/City PPID as well as with the Information Commission both in terms of managing the handling of information dispute cases and reporting the performance of information services.

In order for this application to run properly, technical guidance is provided to all parties who will operate the SIP PPID at the Provincial level and the five SKPDs referred to. Technical guidance is carried out by a team coordinated by PATTIRO Jakarta.

Through the SIP PPID Technical Guidance, it is expected that all participants can operate the SIP PPID application from the process of collecting, documenting, serving and reporting the results of information services so that they become more effective and efficient.
