Returning to the Top 40 Global Think Tanks, PATTIRO Promises to Be More Contributive.

At the end of January, the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania, United States issued a release regarding influential organizations in the world. And the Regional Research and Information Center (PATTIRO) as a research and advocacy institution is again on the list.

PATTIRO Director, Maya Rostanty said, this achievement extends PATTIRO’s achievements in the international world in the last six years, “Thank God, PATTIRO succeeded in maintaining world-class achievements from 2011-2016,” said Maya.

In the survey, PATTIRO was ranked 34th as the Top Transparency and Good Governance Think Tanks from 63 institutions throughout the world.

“Hopefully we can be more productive and contributive in improving the policy formulation process in Indonesia,” hoped Maya.

In the same category, apart from PATTIRO, Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) is also on the list. The institution that speaks out against corruption is ranked 20th.

The annual index report, which was attended by more than 1,900 institutions and experts, also includes the names of several organizations from Indonesia, such as the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), Habibie Center, Indonesian Institute of Sciences ( LIPI), Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the Institute of National Capacity Studies (INCS), and also the Center for Indonesian Policy Studies.

“Congratulations to ICW and other institutions for their achievements, hopefully they can be more motivated to work for Indonesia,” said Maya. (AR)
