Formulate Annual Work Plan, PATTIRO Holds 2018 Work Meeting

PATTIRO2018-RAKERIn 2018, PATTIRO entered its 19th year. This year is also the final year of implementing the 2016-2018 PATTIRO Strategic Plan. To see the achievements of the implementation of the 2016-2018 Strategic Plan, at Jambu Luwuk Resort Bogor, 24-26 January PATTIRO held an Annual Working Meeting (Raker).

“Every year, PATTIRO regularly holds a Working Meeting (Raker) involving all PATTIRO Activists. “This year’s working meeting was held to identify achievements, challenges and opportunities for program development that were implemented in 2017,” said Maya Rostanty, Director of PATTIRO.

“Apart from that, the most important thing about implementing this working meeting is identifying PATTIRO’s opportunities and challenges in 2018, as well as formulating a 2018 Work Plan,” added Yulius Hendra, PATTIRO Senior Advisor.

Apart from formulating the Work Plan, there is something different about the implementation of the Working Meeting this time, namely updating the knowledge of activists through updating regulations related to the three PATTIRO focus areas carried out by all Activists.

Update this regulation is part of knowledge management which was built so that all PATTIRO Activists can learn and increase their knowledge regarding issues that are developing abroad, especially regarding the latest policies that have become PATTIRO’s strategic issue domain,” stressed Maya.

Several regulations are the theme of regulatory update, including PP on Regional Innovation, PP on Community Participation and PP No. 12 of 2017 concerning Development and Supervision of Binwas Province. This regulatory update is very important to see national developments which are important things to consider in preparing the 2018 Work Plan.

“Apart from that, other national developments that need to be paid attention to are the simultaneous regional elections in June 2018, the implementation of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages which is entering its fourth year, the revision of regulations regarding Reforestation Fund Profit Sharing Funds (DBH DR), and developments related to the issue of climate change (mitigation and adaptation),” added Maya.

Regarding the achievements made during 2017, Yulius Hendra explained that this was divided into 4 aspects, namely institutions, policies, knowledge and society. These four aspects were identified through programs implemented throughout 2017.

“We see that many of the achievements identified in 2017 are the policy recommendations that we produced both through Policy Briefs and research reports conducted by PATTIRO, which further proves PATTIRO as one of the think tank institutions in Indonesia,” explained Julius.

To build a solid work team that supports each other, on this occasion, team building was also carried out by PATTIRO activists.
