Information Disclosure Series: PPID Training module

Every Public Body is mandated by the Freedom of Information Act (UU KIP) to appoint an Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) within its institution. Each PPID plays a central role in a Public Body. Internally, the PPID is responsible for managing information, while externally, it is tasked with serving information requesters. Given this central role, the PPID can be described as the spearhead of a Public Body.

This module is designed to provide participants with a clear and straightforward understanding. When combined with competent facilitators, the training can transform participants’ mindsets and behaviors, particularly in viewing information disclosure as part of a new paradigm in public service.

Upon completing this training, every PPID is expected to immediately and effectively deliver accurate information services to the public.

Through this module, PPIDs are expected to shift their mindset and behavior—especially regarding information disclosure as a new public service paradigm—identify issues, develop solutions to streamline information management, and enhance their capacity to serve public information requesters.
