DPR Officially Passes Law on Persons with Disabilities

HDI
March 2016 is a month of victory for people with disabilities in Indonesia. The reason is that the House of Representatives (DPR) in its plenary session on March 17 2016 officially passed the Law on Persons with Disabilities.

Through this article, PATTIRO congratulates all people with disabilities, organizational leaders, and various institutions throughout the country who never tire of fighting to advocate for the Law on Persons with Disabilities.

Even though it has been passed, we need to remember that the substance of the Law on Persons with Disabilities has not fully met the expectations of people with disabilities in Indonesia. For this reason, we should not stop advocating, especially in pushing for the birth of various derivative regulations and regional regulations to improve the implementation of the Law on Persons with Disabilities.

Come on, monitor and continue to supervise the implementation of the Law on Persons with Disabilities for the realization of an Indonesia that is inclusive of disabilities!
