Based on Board of Trustees Decree No. 01/Y.PTIR/BP/X/2016, Maya Rostanty was officially appointed as Director of PATTIRO replacing Sad Dian Utomo. The handover of the position of Director was held on Monday, 24/10/16 at the Soyfan Inn Tebet hotel attended by all PATTIRO Activists, PATTIRO network and work partners, as well as the extended PATTIRO Greater family. This relaxed event was moderated by Yulius Hendra.
Sad Dian expressed that she is currently very happy, not because her duties and responsibilities as Executive Director for two periods from 2012-2016 have been completed, but because her replacement is the right person to lead PATTIRO in the future. “Tanty is a responsible and dedicated person, whose abilities in decentralization issues are expected to make PATTIRO a source of inspiration in regional government governance,” said Sad Dian. Apart from that, Sad Dian also hopes that what he has achieved so far can be continued and what is still lacking can be perfected.
Responding to what Sad Dian said, Joke Sudarbo said that currently many changes have been made by PATTIRO during Sad Dian’s leadership, especially improving the institution’s internal management. “I had experience working with PATTIRO when I was at USAID, now I see that PATTIRO has made management improvements,” said Joke.
Meanwhile Elisabeth Laury Noya from KOMPAK said she was very happy to collaborate with PATTIRO, especially in sharing knowledge. According to Ully, he gained a lot of knowledge from PATTIRO related to Regional Government governance. “PATTIRO is not stingy in sharing knowledge, it’s just that PATTIRO needs to make more efforts to introduce PATTIRO’s work to outside parties, both at the national and international levels,” said Elisabeth.
On this occasion, Maya Rostanty also expressed her commitment to continue what the previous Director had achieved. Participants conveyed many hopes and input to Maya Rostanty. Hendrik Rosdinar from YAPPIKA and former Director of PATTIRO Semarang stated that being Director of PATTIRO is a leader for PATTIRO Raya. “How PATTIRO’s presence is not only successful in preparing proposals, but how PATTIRO can play a strategic role and provide color in Regional Government governance, because PATTIRO’s wealth is in the regions, the Director of PATTIRO Jakarta must be the lead for the Greater PATTIRO network,” said Hendrik.
Geni Achnas as Member of the Advisory Board also expressed his hopes. According to Geni, PATTIRO’s strength is in the regions, there are certainly many success stories in the regions that need to be written and published to stakeholders, knowledge management is important, including how to disseminate PATTIRO knowledge through social media.
At the end of the discussion, Maya Rostanty invited all PATTIRO activists and networks to work together. “Let’s join hands and work for better work,” said Maya.
