Development of a Road Map for the Success of the HI PAUD Program

Policies related to the Integrative Holistic Early Childhood Development (PAUD HI) program, both in terms of education, health and overall early childhood growth, must be ensured to run in one corridor so that goals are aligned. This came to the fore in an audience conducted by PATTIRO to Assistant Deputy for Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko PMK) Jazziray Hartoyo on Monday (4/9/2023) in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Office.

Currently, PATTIRO is developing a Roadmap for child care in the HI PAUD policy. It is hoped that this policy roadmap can encourage special legislation that regulates early childhood care as part of the regulatory umbrella that covers HI PAUD to realize an Indonesia Friendly for Children 2030. Apart from that, the roadmap should also be able to accommodate efforts to strengthen HI PAUD institutions. dynamic and able to adapt to local policies.

Jazziray said that the Coordinating Ministry for PMK is currently the coordinator of the HI PAUD program which was approved in the Coordinating Minister for PMK Regulation number 1 of 2019 concerning the HI PAUD Sub-Task Force. “Policies related to HI PAUD, whether in terms of education, health, overall early childhood growth, must be ensured to run in one corridor under our coordination, so that the direction and goals are the same,” said Jazziray.

He also added that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture continues to coordinate, synchronize and control (KSP), both offline and online, for 12 provinces and 78 districts/cities which received assistance in drafting regulations from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2022-2023, apart from of course also conducting socialization in the provinces. , Districts and Cities that do not yet have an HI PAUD program.

As of September 1 2023, there are 216 regencies/cities that have HI PAUD Regency/Perwal, 145 regencies/cities have HI PAUD Task Forces and 90 regencies/cities have Regional Action Plans (RAD). Jazziray explained the development of the HI PAUD program policy implementation involving pentahelix which of course prioritizes collaboration involving Ministries and Institutions including Regional Government, the community including non-governmental organizations, academics, business actors and also of course the media.
