The Banten Regional Information Study Center (PATTIRO) supports a number of factions urging the Banten Provincial Government to review the Banten Hospital rates. This is done so that the rates set are not burdensome to the community as service recipients.
“We from Pattiro Banten agree that the Banten Hospital rates must be studied carefully and refer to the level of financial ability of the Banten people in accessing health services,” said the Coordinator of the Public Service Division of Pattiro Banten Ari Setiawan, Wednesday (20/3). He revealed, based on data compiled by Pattiro, the health budget in 2013 increased by around 67.29 percent compared to the previous year. Therefore, with the increase in the budget the provincial government must have innovation regarding the amount of the hospital fee.
“The provincial government in terms of this hospital should not think about how to increase the PAD of this new hospital. What should be considered is how the community can enjoy the services provided by the hospital with optimal and affordable services,” he said.
According to him, the Raperda for the Establishment of the Banten Hospital and the Raperda for Retribution for Health Services are very good and have huge implications for improving the health status of the people of Banten. However, this draft regional regulation should not appear as if it is being chased by a dead-line and is being worked on in a hurry, so that many important contents contained in the draft regional regulation are overlooked.
“The provincial government must also start compiling a health service referral system in Banten Province in an effort to improve the quality of health services, so that when this Raperda is enacted as a regional regulation it has adapted to the conditions in Banten Province,” he said.
Banten DPRD member Sanuji Pentamarta said that if he pursues the PAD target from Banten Hospital, he is pessimistic that it can be achieved. The reason is, from Rp. 250 billion, the predicted income may only be able to reach Rp. 20 billion. Sanuji said he agreed that the Banten Hospital should be able to provide maximum service to the community. According to him, with so many organizational work procedures (SOTK) in Banten Hospital there is no excuse if the service is not carried out properly.
