As a guide for the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID) to be able to provide information services quickly and accurately, public bodies are encouraged to compile a list of public information (DIP) that they control and manage.

Based on this background, at the Lombok Plaza Mataram Hotel, the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government PPID held a DIP preparation workshop which was attended by all SKPD PPIDs, Wednesday (29/5/2013). This activity was carried out with the support of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Decentralization (AIPD) through the Regional Research and Information Center (PATTIRO) as stated in the 2013 Annual Workplan which has received approval from BAPPENAS.

In his opening remarks, AIPD Deputy Program Director Anton Tarigan hoped that the DIP which would later be drafted would make it easier to provide information services to the public. Anton also expressed his appreciation to the NTB Provincial Government, whose entire SKPD has established a PPID.

The event was officially opened by the Head of the Communication and Informatics Transportation Agency (ISHUBKOMINFO) who is also the Chairperson of the Provincial PPID Ir. Ridwansyah, MSc.,MM.,MMTP, representing the Regional Secretary of the Province of NTB.

In his capacity as chairman of the Provincial PPID, Ridwansyah explained the strategy towards obtaining the first rank for NTB Province in the National Public Information Openness ranking which is held annually by the Central Information Commission. In 2012 the province of NTB was ranked 6th. Meanwhile, the first to fifth ranks were won by the provinces of West Java, DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, DI Yogyakarta and East Kalimantan.

Ridwanysah further said that it was hoped that some of the achievements that had been achieved so far would contribute to the achievement of NTB as the first rank for Public Information Openness.

“In 2012 the NTB Provincial Government issued Governor Regulation number 35 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for Information Management and Documentation within the NTB Provincial Government, then Governor Decree number 667 concerning Amendments to Governors number 210 of 2012 concerning the Establishment of the NTB Provincial PPID. In addition, it has Several SK Heads of Service issued regarding the Determination of PPID in each SKPD. We also have a standard operational procedure (SOP) for Public Information Services within the NTB Provincial Government. The Provincial PPID also has a website. With the DIP later, hopefully it will further encourage us to reach first place, “said Ridwansyah.

Therefore Ridwansyah reminded all SKPD PPIDs to be able to immediately complete the DIP Draft and provide information as stipulated in 9, 10, 11 of the KIP Law. “This is also an assessment indicator in the KIP ranking,” Ridwansyah emphasized.
